[Trouble] -Notice- when proceeding to the firmware update of the P3000, always remove the USB connected devices.

Dear RICOH Unified Communication System Customer:

On August 11th 2013 (Sunday) the system maintenance(server update)took place.
In relation to that, when launching for the first time the product targeted below, it will become necessary to update the firmware.
Therefore, please be sure to remove the USB connected devices for the product targeted below before launching it for the first time.

RICOH Unified Communication System P3000

【Before customers proceed to the update】
When proceeding to the firmware update with USB devices connected at the same time, it may happen that conferences cannot take place when removing the USB devices which were connected at the time of the update.

Because of that, when proceeding to the firmware update, please remove the devices connected by USB beforehand.
Then, please connect the USB devices once the firmware update is complete.

【Phenomena which occurred with customers after the update was implemented】
The phenomena below have occurred with people proceeding to the firmware update with USB devices connected

Phenomenon 1) Conference cannot happen when removing the USB devices which were connected at the time of the update
Counter-measure : by connecting again the USB device, the conference can take place.
 
Phenomenon 2) When launching the software after completing the firmware update, the message「connecting to network」is displayed.
Counter-measure : From the menu [Device settings], select the profile for the network settings which are used and press the button [application].
